Presented by Sue Lawrence | September 12, 2024 7PM EST

INTERMEDIATE LEVEL | 1 HOURĀ | LIVE ONLINE via ZOOM | INTERACTIVE

This webinar will explore the issue of how young children grieve. Focus will be on the ways in which a child interprets death from the cognitive, psychoanalytic, and neurological perspectives. Behavioral and emotional consequences to loss will be explained, both as immediate responses and long-term ramifications. Factors that influence bereavement, such as relationships, personal traits, and circumstances of the loss will also be discussed. Practical suggestions on how to support these children after a loss will then be offered.
