Strategies to Support At-Risk Children and Trauma-Impacted Families
Presented by Dawn Mastoridis, M.Ed., CAGS
1 HOUR | SELF-PACED | NON-INTERACTIVE | RECORDED OCTOBER 2024
Children who experience homelessness, child abuse and neglect, poverty or other similar situations are at greater risk for developmental delays and disabilities. Many children who receive early intervention or special education services experience these situations, which can exacerbate their developmental needs. It is important for early childhood professionals to be familiar with how these situations impact early development, learning, and parent-child interactions. This course provides strategies and resources related to supporting high risk children and families in challenging situations.
