Toileting Support in Early Childhood Classrooms: Developmentally-Informed, Compassionate Strategies for Preschool & Early Elementary Educators
Presented by Dr. Amy Vigliotti & Dr. Carly Teperman
1 HOURÂ | SELF-PACED | NON-INTERACTIVE |Â RECORDED AUGUST 2026
This webinar helps early educators approach toileting challenges through a developmental and emotionally informed lens rather than a compliance-based framework. Drawing from attachment-informed practices, nervous system regulation, and play-based learning, participants will explore how toileting connects to autonomy, anxiety, sensory experiences, transitions, and emotional safety. Educators will learn practical strategies including co-regulation techniques, supportive language, visual routines, play-based modeling, and caregiver collaboration to support children through accidents, regression, withholding, and resistance with calm, consistent responses. Participants will leave with practical tools to create more emotionally safe and successful toileting experiences for young children.
This course is for Early Childhood Teachers, Therapists, and other Professionals who work with young children.
