Transformational Coaching: Make Meaning, Make Change
Presented by Constant Hine | December 15, 2026 7PM EST
1 HOURÂ | LIVE ONLINE via ZOOM | INTERACTIVE
In this one-hour webinar, Constant Hine, author of Transformational Coaching for Early Childhood Educators, explores what Transformational Coaching is, why it matters, and how it works. You’ll see how transformational coaching reaches the roots of behavior—the values, beliefs, and perspectives people bring to their experiences—through the art of inquiry and a set of Universal Tools that build self-awareness and support the learning process.
We don’t respond to what happens to us. We respond to the meaning we make of it. Our values, our perspective and our mindset shape that meaning, and that meaning shapes what we do. Make meaning, make change: when the meaning shifts, behavior can shift with it.
That’s why technical assistance, and a transactional coaching approach of offering advice, suggestions, and hot tips to solve a problem, can help in the moment yet still not create change that lasts.
You’ll explore the role and mindset of a transformational coach as a change agent: someone who accompanies people from knowledge and understanding to reflective habits, learning from doing, and intentional choices, so they keep getting better at getting better. That is what makes change sticky. Bring a situation of your own to reflect on. You’ll leave with a self-coaching reflection to keep exploring with curiosity.
Â
Teachers, therapists, social workers, and other early childhood professionals working with young children will benefit from this webinar.Â
Objectives
1. Explain how values, perspective, and mindset shape the meaning we make, and how that meaning influences a person’s behaviors and actions (“make meaning, make change”).
2. Distinguish transactional from transformational coaching, including their focus, techniques and results, and explain why transformational coaching leads to sticky, sustainable change.
3. Describe facilitating change as the key to sticky change: accompanying someone from knowledge and understanding to embedded reflective habits and refined professional behaviors, learning from doing and intentional choices, so they get better at getting better.
4. Identify the role and mindset of a transformational coach, including the shift from content expert to change agent, curiosity over answers, and the Universal
5. Tools of pausing, listening, paraphrasing, reframing, and open-ended, empowering questions.
6. Identify situations where the self-coaching reflection, i.e., Holy Curiosity practice, can be applied to.
