Build the Brain: Supporting Early Learners' Creativity and Inventive Thinking

Presented by Cindy Terebush, MS, BCISE  | January 9, 2025 7PM EST

Did you know that art, crafts, and projects are not the same? Join us in untangling those three words and exploring the benefits of children being given authentic opportunities for independent thinking, problem-solving, planning, and evaluation. Children growing up in today’s inventive and creative world benefit when adults understand how to support their individual cognitive abilities. Gain strategies for facilitating meaningful activities and conversations as you encourage the deeper thinking they will need as they continue to learn, grow, and enter a world filled with innovations. Discover how to ask thought-provoking questions, grab teachable moments, and use thinking routines to help children express their curiosity. When children know we value their independent thinking and creativity, they develop a positive self-concept that will provide them with confidence for years to come.
