How to Cultivate Collaboration and Acceptance in Parents with Special Needs Children

Presented by Dawn Mastoridis | June 20, 2024 7PM EST

INTERMEDIATE LEVEL | 1 HOUR | LIVE ONLINE via ZOOM | INTERACTIVE

Parents play a key role in initiating and generating behavior change in their children. Parents have the potential to inspire their children directly (by applying reinforcers and other behavior modification strategies) and indirectly (by providing a safe, supportive, and encouraging environment). Providers of early intervention or special education services can promote more successful outcomes by utilizing effective rapport building and engagement skills. This webinar will address therapeutic techniques to create positive relationships with parents. Practical resources and strategies will be provided on how to build an effective partnership with families, cultivate collaboration, mediate conflict, increase acceptance, and diffuse denial.

This webinar is tailored to benefit educators, clinicians, therapists, and other professionals working with young children seeking to enhance learning and engagement during early childhood development.
