Speaker's Biography

Leah Davies, M.Ed., is the creator of the award-winning Kelly Bear resources, designed for children ages 3-9. With over 44 years of experience as a teacher, counselor, prevention specialist, and educational consultant, Leah has dedicated her career to the well-being of children. She holds a Master's Degree in Counseling and Counseling Psychology from Auburn University. Leah's Kelly Bear resources include six books, ten DVDs, a board game, a CD of songs, a puppet, and the Kelly Bear C.A.R.E.S. (Character and Resiliency Education Skills) multimedia curriculum. These materials are used by parents, teachers, and counselors to teach children essential life skills such as self-control, problem-solving, healthy living habits, and social competence. Leah has also authored numerous articles for professional journals and presented workshops at various national conferences. In addition to her work with Kelly Bear, Leah has contributed extensively to literature on children's development and has presented her insights at major educational and counseling organizations​ such as the National Child Care Association (NCCA), the National Head Start Association (NHSA), and the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC).


 

Host's Biography

Dr. Scott Mesh is the Director of Young Child Learning and the CEO and Co-Founder of Los Niños Services which serves 2,000 young children with special needs each year through homecare and center services. He is a Clinical Psychologist with over 25 years of experience working with young children and their families and is an expert on assessing young children for developmental disabilities and autism. He has helped thousands of parents over the years make the transition to gaining help for their children through early childhood special education services. He is a leader in early childhood development and working effectively with parents.

 

Cancellation Policy

Young Child Learning reserves the right to cancel or reschedule any Young Child Learning event for any reason and without notice. Young Child Learning is not responsible for any changes in travel arrangements, hotel, lodging or any other costs of participants should a Young Child Learning event need to be rescheduled or cancelled. Young Child Learning will make reasonable efforts to reschedule the event, and any registration fees paid will be credited towards the new event. If you cancel within 30 days before the event, the registration fee is not refundable. However, you will receive a credit for the registration fee which can be applied to another Young Child Learning event within the following 12 months. The processing fee is non-refundable.

Young Child Learning will comply with all legal and ethical responsibilities to be non-discriminatory in promotional activities, program content and in the treatment of program participants.
 
The monitoring and assessment of compliance with these standards will be the responsibility of Young Child Learning. All grievances must be submitted in writing (via e-mail or mail) within 7 days after purchase of the webinar. Any supporting documents must be included with the submitted complaint.
