Overcoming Challenging Behaviors with the Four C's of Emotional Support and the Child's Perspective
Presented by Diane Goyette, MA
1 HOURÂ | SELF-PACED | NON-INTERACTIVE |Â RECORDED NOVEMBER 2024
Challenging behaviors are stressful for everyone involved – the children themselves, their classmates and the teachers! This course will introduce a structure of strategies to help you handle these behaviors and prevent future ones. This “Four C’s Framework of Emotional Support” is based on the latest brain development research and the advice of experts in several fields. Diane will share their professional and personal perspectives as well as the framework. You will gain a new understanding of children's behaviors and leave with tools to handle them, both in times of distress and throughout the day. The strategies you will learn also build the resilience and self-regulation skills of all your children. There is another bonus: You'll be better able to support the emotional intelligence and well-being of adults, too – including yourself. The "Four C's" are a win, win, win, win!
