The P.L.A.Y. (Play and Language for Autistic Youngsters) Project is an autism intervention program that is an evidence-base and parent-implemented. P.L.A.Y. uses a developmental and relationship-based approach to helping young children (18months to 6 years old) with autism spectrum disorders improve in their development, social interaction and autism severity. In PLAY, trained PLAY Project Consultants (PPC) coach parents to be sensitive and responsive in a way that is fun and effectively engages the child to help the child make progress in his or her functional/social development.

Speaker's Biography
Over the last 25 years, Richard Solomon M.D. served as the Medical Director of The Ann Arbor Center for Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics. Dr. Rick, the ‘fun doctor’, is a nationally and internationally recognized expert and speaker in the field of autism science and intervention. He is the founder of The PLAY Project (www.playproject.org), an evidence-based, parent implemented autism intervention model that trains parents and professionals using a developmental, relationship-based, and playful approach. His books, Autism: The Potential Within and The PLAY Project Parent Guide, describe his clinical approach to helping young autistic children. Dr. Solomon has dozens of publications in scientific journals and his career includes fellowships and faculty positions in pediatrics, editorial peer reviewer for pediatric journals, and numerous volunteer positions with nonprofit boards and state appointed committees. He is married, has two adult children, and four grandchildren.

Host's Biography
Dr. Scott Mesh is the Director of Young Child Learning and the CEO and Co-Founder of Los Niños Services which serves 2,000 young children with special needs each year through homecare and center services. He is a Clinical Psychologist with over 25 years of experience working with young children and their families and is an expert on assessing young children for developmental disabilities and autism. He has helped thousands of parents over the years make the transition to gaining help for their children through early childhood special education services. He is a leader in early childhood development and working effectively with parents.
