Webinar FAQs
What time is the webinar?
Our webinars are usually Tuesdays at 7:00 PM Eastern Time (New York, EDT).
That is:
4:00 PM Los Angeles (PDT, U.S.)
12:00 AM London (UK) next day
12:00 AM Lagos (Nigeria) next day
4:30 AM New Delhi (India) next day
7:00 AM Manila / Singapore next day
9:00 AM Sydney (Australia) next day
NOTE: When the U.S. returns to Eastern Standard Time (EST) in November, these international times will all be one hour later.
Webinars are an hour-long, and additional 15 minutes for Q&A (optional to attend).
How much to join the webinar?
Our webinars are FREE to attend. Every participant who completes the post-webinar evaluation form will automatically receive a FREE Certificate of Attendance by email.
If you need a Continuing Education Certificate (for license renewal or professional credit), you can purchase one for $9 per webinar. Always check the webinar's description to confirm which CE types (NYSED CTLE/PT/OT/SW CE Hours, ASHA CEUs, BACB CEUs, NASP CPDs, etc.) are offered for that session.
Where do I get the Zoom link for the webinars?
Free attendees: You’ll receive an email with the Zoom link 1–2 hours before the webinar start time.
Attendees who purchased a CE Certificate: You’ll be sent an email with a link that directs to a page where you must enter your name and email. This step serves as your official “time-in” record (required by CEU policy). Once completed, you’ll automatically receive the Zoom link by email.
NOTE: Please double-check that you enter your correct email address, or you may not receive the link.
What is the structure of the webinar?
Our webinars are hosted live on Zoom. Attendees can interact with the speaker and one another through chat, but your camera and microphone will remain off.
Do you share the PPT of the Speaker?
No, we do not distribute the speaker’s full PowerPoint presentation in order to protect the speaker’s intellectual property. Instead, we provide a handout that includes the key highlights and important information from the presentation. This way, you still have a helpful reference to review and apply after the webinar.
I can't attend the live webinar! Do you share the recording?
All our live webinars become available as recorded courses (unless stated otherwise) on our website 4-6 weeks after the live session. Purchase for $19, and enjoy 6 months access, videos trimmed for easier viewing, and get a certificate once you complete the course.Â
What are "CEUs" and which do you offer?
CEU stands for Continuing Education Unit. Technically, 1 CEU = 10 contact hours of continuing education, as defined by the International Accreditors for Continuing Education and Training (IACET). However, in everyday use, many professionals say “CEUs” to mean any kind of continuing education credit needed for license renewal.
For the list of CEUs we are accredited to offer, please click here.
Do your webinars provide CEUs?
Yes — but the wording depends on your profession and licensing board. Young Child Learning is accredited by multiple boards, and each requires different terminology. For example:
- NY teachers receive CTLE "hours".
- Social workers receive CE "credits/contact hours" (through ASWB or NYSED).
- OTs and PTs who practice in NY receive "continuing education hours" (through NYSED).
- Speech-language pathologists receive "ASHA CEUs".
- Behavior analysts receive "BACB CEUs".
- Psychologists receive "NASP CPD" credits.
NOTE: Make sure to read the webinar description to check which CE Type it offers as it varies.Â
What’s the difference between the FREE Certificate of Attendance and the CE Certificate?
FREE Certificate: Available to all participants who complete the post-webinar evaluation form. This certificate verifies that you attended the session but does not carry official continuing education credit.
Continuing Education (CE) Certificate: Available for purchase ($9). This certificate provides board-approved continuing education credit (e.g., NYSED CTLE/PT/OT/SW CE Hours, ASHA CEUs, BACB CEUs, NASP CPDs). It can be used toward professional license renewal, depending on your licensing board’s requirements.
Are your CE Certificates accepted nationwide?
We are accredited by national and state boards, including ASWB, ASHA, BACB, NASP, and NYSED (for teachers, social workers, OTs, and PTs). Acceptance depends on your licensing board’s rules, but our certificates meet the official requirements of these organizations.Â
How many CE Credits do I earn for a 1-hour webinar?
For most accrediting organizations, a 1-hour webinar equals 1 hour of continuing education credit. The terminology varies by profession:
- For ASHA (speech-language pathologists), a 1-hour webinar is awarded as 0.1 ASHA CEUs.
- For other accrediting bodies (NYSED, ASWB, BACB, NASP, etc.), it is generally listed as 1 continuing education hour/credit.
NOTE: The exact number of credits for each session is always included in the webinar description so you can confirm before registering.
How do I get my CE Certificate?
Purchasing a CE Certificate does not automatically guarantee issuance. To receive your CE Certificate, you must meet the requirements set by the accrediting organizations:
âś… Attend the entire webinar (from start to finish).
âś… Complete the post-webinar evaluation form (sent after the webinar).
âś… Record your attendance by signing in and signing out (links are sent before and after webinar)
âś… For ASHA participants: Beginning July 2025, you will also be required to complete a post-quiz in addition to the steps above.
Once all requirements are met, your CE Certificate will be processed and emailed to you within 1-2 business days after the webinar date.
NOTE: ASHA participants do not get Certificates as per ASHA policy. ASHA will reflect your CE credits on your ASHA CEU Registry within 45 days. It is only through the ASHA Registry that your ASHA CE credits can be reflected. You can learn more about obtaining your ASHA CE credits on their website (click here). However, If you would like a record for your own files, you may request a FREE Certificate of Attendance, which confirms that you attended the session.
How do I get my FREE Certificate of Attendace?
The certificate be sent via email when you submit the evaluation form after the webinar. The certificate is automatically sent right after completion of the evaluation form.
